Job Description:
Responsibilities / Requirements:
Consults with project teams and functional units on the design and development of important projects or services
Supports existing business systems applications
Expert in multiple languages and tools
Some knowledge in emerging technologies
Possesses strong knowledge of application development technologies, tools and methodologies
Requires independent discretion in making decisions regarding application/software
Understanding business impacts on strategic technology initiatives
Ability to manage multiple projects

Additional Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics or Equivalent work experience
5 years of experience as an enterprise application Architect using Java/J2EE technologies
7 years of experience in web development technologies
IBM WebSphere experience is a must. IBM MQ & IID knowledge is a plus
5 years of experience in DB technologies. Oracle a MUST, DB2 expertise is a plus
Hands on experience in configuring and deploying to Application Servers (Have Websphere on Linux)
Extensive experience in source management and version control. Harvest knowledge is a plus as using now
Solid working knowledge of different server OS
Linux is a must
Extensive knowledge of XML technologies and parsing
Hibernate and Web Services a must
Expertise in Object Oriented development (analysis, design patterns, UML, etc.)
Expertise and adaptability in different SDLC methodologies. Configuration Management, Change Management and Risk Management experience is a plus
Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Excellent ability to translate functional requirements into technical designs
Ability to easily learn the different business functions behind the applications
Solid inter-personal skills (including excellent communication skills)
Proven experience on managing technical teams. Experience on managing offshore teams is a plus
Financial business experience and Credit card or payment solutions experience is a plus.
