Detailed tasks assigned may include the following:
- Shares ownership of operational responsibility for storage provisioning and availability at the customer site(s) with the Customer Storage Manager.
- Provisions storage based on standardized procedures detailed in the Operational Run Book and to meet customer agreed upon standards.
- Responsible for configuration and layout of storage infrastructure.
- Performs necessary storage infrastructure maintenance in accordance with EMC and customer’s change management policies.
- Performs necessary data migration as required and defined by EMC's migration practices.
- Provides analysis of Environment and Best Practice knowledge transfer.
- Generates Regular operations reports using customer supplied tools, such as EMC Control Center.
- Recommends changes to procedures which result in operational optimization.
- Participates in Root Cause Analysis reviews when applicable.

Required skills
- Include Strong consultative skills Proficiency in EMC hardware, software and/or operating systems environments
- Strong product/technology/industry knowledge
- The environment is Enterprise Storage – VMAX & VPLEX w/Data Domain.
- The customer is VERY smart, and typically demands a very senior resource, although the environment is not very large.
