Panzer Solutions Hiring Senior Software Engineer

Position : Senior Software Engineer- Cloud

Duration : 12 month contract

Location : Missouri

Job Description

Required Skills:
5+ years engineering experience in a combination of both application development and systems engineering
1+ years of Python application development experience
1+ years hands on Amazon Web Services (AWS) experience managing full application stacks from OS up through custom applications
1+ years hands on experience with any of the following AWS cloud automation tools: Boto (highly preferred), AWS SDK, AWS CLI
Hands on experience with AWS EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, ELB, Route 53 and Security Groups
Hands on experience with Chef, Puppet, Ansible automation / orchestration (or similar) experience
Experience in and demonstrable knowledge of Linux system administration and packaging (rpm, yum, dpkg, etc)
Experience with scripting languages such as Bash Shell
Experience with DNS, Load Balancing e.g. F5, AWS ELB
Experience with Agile and DevOps concepts
Understands various Firewall architectures and Network\Cloud Security concepts
Strong Team Player but able to work independently
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to quickly triage problems, determine root cause and drive resolution
Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities

Preferred:
Experience in Jira, Github, Maven and Jenkins
Experience with HTTP/Proxy servers (Apache, Nginx, Squid)
Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting application platforms, with a preference for experience in working with Java web application platforms (e.g., Tomcat, WebSphere, WebLogic, JBoss, etc.)
Experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as Stackdriver, Cloudwatch, Sensu, NewRelic, or similar
Experience with log aggregation and management tools such as Splunk, Loggly, Logstash, or similar
Systems performance tuning and load testing is a plus
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred
