Senior Data Warehouse Engineer
Analytics & Business Intelligence | San Francisco, CA, United States
We re searching for an stellar Senior Data Warehouse Engineer with a robust dose of technical abilities someone who loves the idea of working with a dynamically smart team and building the data infrastructure to support intelligent decisions throughout the company.

Responsibilities:
Define and implement the data warehouse strategy focusing on enabling business users and business analysts
Maintain and enhance existing multi-terabyte DWH
Work across the organization to ensure that the right data is collected and processed to enable smart, data driven decisions
Support all operational aspects of the systems in your purview
Cultivate a culture of technical discussion and curiosity, efficient project execution, and lightning-quick service response
Build and promote tools that support the democratization of data movement; empower the teams to access the data independently
Be the success driven with executing industry best practices requirements

Requirements:
6+ years hands on experience with large-scale data warehouses
Excellent data modeling skills
Deep understanding of practical OLAP implementations
Strong SQL knowledge and experience.
Strong knowledge and experience with at least one of the scripting languages (Shell, Perl, Python)
Understanding and working experience with columnar databases, preferably Redshift
Well versed with various ETL tools and reporting tools
Top-notch communication , writing, and problem solving skills
Nice to Haves:
Experienced with using cloud providers including Joyent and/or Amazon AWS
Experience in e-commerce and systems that support supply chain management
Experience with APIs
